In the increasingly developing digital age, artificial intelligence has become an important tool, not only in technology, healthcare, or finance but also in education, especially vocational education.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the way training is delivered, providing skills and meeting the needs of the modern labor market. With superior applications, AI helps enhance vocational training quality, improve accessibility, personalize education, and optimize teaching and learning processes.
This has been and is being invested in by vocational education institutions nationwide, including the Mien Trung Industry and Trade College and Phu Yen Vocational College, to improve training quality.
AI Opens Unprecedented Opportunities

Modern vocational education requires a flexible and responsive approach to keep up with technology trends and market demands. This is an area where AI not only helps automate but can also provide comprehensive solutions, improving quality and efficiency.
In particular, AI is becoming an inevitable trend in specialized training programs, meeting practical skill needs and enhancing the capabilities of the global workforce.
AI applications have been bringing many changes to Vietnamese education. At the workshop “Applying AI in organizational management, school management and teaching, meeting digital transformation requirements in Vietnam” organized by the Southern Center for Education Development (Ministry of Education and Training) in collaboration with SEAMEO CELLL Center and Cognitive Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc affirmed: AI is a global trend, used to promote innovation, streamline operations and enhance learning experiences. Education managers need to be responsible for exploring and grasping this development, ensuring they stay at the forefront, providing the best for their organizations and learners.
According to Dr. Le Thi My Ha, Director of SEAMEO CELLL, recently, the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and AI into organizational management, especially in education, has become a trend with the potential to reshape school organization management processes as well as learning processes.
“ICT and AI open unprecedented opportunities to improve performance outcomes, enhance education quality, and expand learning beyond the traditional classroom environment,” Dr. Ha said.
As a member of SEAMEO CELLL, the Mien Trung Industry and Trade College (MITC) participated in this workshop to learn about new technologies and share experiences and results achieved in implementing AI applications in professional work.
According to experts, AI is not just a supporting tool but also an important driver in reshaping the roles of managers, teachers, and students in the modern working and educational environment.
Dr. Dang Van Lai, Principal of Phu Yen Vocational College, identified: The key issue for vocational education institutions is to improve training quality to meet society’s job position needs. To do this well, the application of technology and digital transformation in training is very urgent and indispensable in modern education.
“Recently, the school has gradually applied AI in communication activities, enrollment, job information; building digital document repositories for subjects… This academic year, the school continues to invest in and expand the online learning system, along with AI-powered learning and teaching support tools, strongly applying AI in management and student capacity assessment…” Dr. Lai said.

With technology support, AI can be widely applied to various stages in training and management processes, helping save human resources, finances, and improve work efficiency. AI can help personalize the learning process effectively. AI supports virtual practice and simulation in practical subjects. AI helps automate management and teaching tasks. AI serves as virtual assistants and chatbots supporting teachers and learners. AI can collect, systematize, and analyze data from the learning process…
According to Dr. Tran Kim Quyen, Principal of MITC, the benefits of applying AI in vocational education are significant. Specifically, AI helps learners from everywhere participate in vocational courses through online platforms; therefore, vocational education is no longer limited by space and time. AI tools also help lecturers better understand each learner’s capabilities, leading to more effective teaching methods.
Additionally, AI can create realistic simulation learning environments, helping learners easily apply knowledge to practice, improving professional skills. At the same time, AI helps create flexible and personalized learning paths helping learners absorb knowledge suitable to their abilities and interests…
Recognizing this, over the past 5 years, MITC has had plans to invest in digital transformation, applying technology to management and teaching in the school. Dr. Tran Kim Quyen added: Most notably and effectively during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and prolongation 4 years ago, MITC quickly implemented teaching and learning in an online environment through supporting tools such as: MS Team software, Google Meet, Zoom combined with learner activation tools: Mentimeter, Kahoot, Quizizz… for over 50% of subjects, theoretical content suitable for the online environment.

The school invests in infrastructure facilities, network systems, digital libraries and learning materials, applying open source to implement VietBilio library software to improve management, with all lectures and textbooks in electronic file format.
In communication work, MITC also maximizes the application of social media platforms, using technology and a rich website system (13 websites). Notably, the website sanvieclammitc.vn, strongly applying AI tools, has been and is proving very effective. Sanvieclammitc allows workers to find jobs, automatically create CVs based on provided information, learn about companies, and interact with recruiters.
Additionally, with the MITC AI career guidance application, learners receive direct consultation in a Q&A style, helping provide specific information. Based on personal information that students provide such as interests, skills, abilities, and goals, MITC AI will analyze, evaluate, and suggest suitable careers.
