In many organizational work environments, gender equality issues persist. Mien Trung Industry and Trade College(MITC) is no exception. Previously, the College faced challenges in creating a balanced environment where all staff and employees, regardless of gender, had equal development opportunities. This occasionally led to limitations in maximizing the workforce’s potential and affected the overall working atmosphere. However, MITC early recognized that gender equality is not just a social responsibility but also a key factor in building a harmonious, creative, and effective working environment.
Thanks to continuous efforts to create an equal workplace, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College has been honored to receive the “Gender Equality in the Workplace” award for small and medium enterprises, presented by UN Women Vietnam within the framework of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs Awards 2024).
This achievement is not only evidence of positive changes in MITC’s policies and culture but also contributes to building an environment with full rights and fairness for all staff and employees. The result of these efforts affirms MITC’s core values of equality and sustainable development.
To achieve today’s results, the College’s Board of Directors has developed and implemented numerous programs aimed at gender equality, from recruitment to training and human resource development. These policies not only create conditions for fair treatment of female and male employees but also open up many development opportunities.
The application of gender equality principles in management and operations has become an important bridge, helping the College grow strong not only academically but also in building a happy, friendly, professional, and sustainable working environment.
The award ceremony is expected to be held in Hanoi on November 28, 2024, marking an important milestone for the Mien Trung Industry and Trade College. This success is not only the College’s pride but also a step forward for the community, encouraging many other organizations to work towards equality and sustainable development.
