In the middle of the epidemic, all attendees were given antiseptic hand washing, automatic temperature measurements at the school gate and wearing masks during the training.
The Managing TVET Institution computer simulator was developed by the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO together with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) to improve the quality of management in TVET institutions.
The Managing TVET Institution simulator is an imitation system, including hundreds of activity parameters and at least 200 solutions. It reflects the activity of a TVET institution in all its complexity. Using the simulator, participants take on managerial roles at educational institutions; work in teams to review the external and internal environment and work of the institution, educational programmes, and the student–alumni interaction policy; and make managerial decisions based on the information they have analysed.
At the end of the training session, representatives of each team shared knowledge, strengths and lessons learned from this 2-day training session. After completing their training, the participants have a rounded understanding of the structure of a TVET institution, are aware of global best practice and business cases, have experience in decision-making in a rapidly changing economy and labour market, etc.
On behalf of the participating schools in the program, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College would like to thank the Russian experts for their dedicated support in this training, thank the General Department of Vocational Education for creating the favorable conditions to support vocational education institutions with smart management systems, gradually moving towards building smart schools in this era of the Industry 4.0.
