On October 17, an international seminar titled “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Organizational Management, School Management, and Teaching, Meeting the Requirements of Digital Transformation in Vietnam” was held in Ho Chi Minh City. The program was led by the SEAMEO CELLL Center, in partnership with the Southern Education and Training Center (Ministry of Education and Training) and Cognitive Vietnam.
Mien Trung Industry and Trade College, a member of SEAMEO CELLL since 2022, also participated in this seminar and shared experiences and results achieved in implementing AI applications in the College’s professional work.
Dr. Le Thi My Ha and MA. Nguyen Van Duc signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two parties.
SEAMEO CELLL is the Regional Center for Lifelong Learning of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization, established under Decision No. 1561/QD-BGDDT dated April 23, 2012, by the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam.
The SEAMEO CELLL Center gained official regional and international recognition upon the signing of an agreement between the Vietnamese government and SEAMEO on March 20, 2013, during the 47th Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Conference (SEAMEC 47).
The seminar aimed to provide an overview of ICT and AI applications in education across Southeast Asian countries and introduce a comprehensive online education platform to enhance classroom management, program implementation, teaching, and learning effectiveness during the digital transformation period.
Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc affirmed: “AI is a global trend used to promote innovation, streamline operations, and enhance learning experiences. Educational managers must explore and seize this development to ensure they lead and provide the best for their organizations and students.”
In teaching, AI offers prospects for personalized education, allowing us to tailor education to each student’s needs and learning styles. With AI, we can create a more interactive and flexible learning environment, ensuring that every student has opportunities to develop regardless of their starting point.
Dr. Le Thi My Ha, Director of SEAMEO CELLL, emphasized at the seminar: “In recent years, integrating information and communication technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI) into organizational management—especially in education—has become a trend with the potential to reshape school management processes and learning procedures.”
Dr. My Ha further shared: “ICT and AI open unprecedented opportunities to enhance operational outcomes, improve educational quality, and expand learning beyond traditional classroom environments.”
According to UNESCO, “artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to address some of today’s biggest challenges in education, innovate teaching and learning methods, and accelerate progress toward SDG 4.”
Prioritizing Cooperation in Education, Mr. Le Thang Loi, Deputy Director in charge of the Southern Education and Training Development Center, remarked that Vietnam is entering an era of growth, determined to build a prosperous nation.
To achieve this noble goal, as stated by General Secretary and President To Lam during his speech in the United States, Vietnam’s development path cannot be separated from the common trends of the world and human civilization. It requires clear international solidarity, valuable support, and effective cooperation from the global community.
According to Mr. Le Thang Loi, international exchange and cooperation, especially with countries in the region, are crucial for promoting development.
Among these, educational and training exchanges and cooperation should be prioritized due to their universality and importance. Moreover, the product of education is people, who are both the goal and the driving force of socio-economic development.
Effective international educational cooperation will create generations of good citizens who meet the demands of globalization.
The seminar showcased specialists deliberating on a variety of important subjects, such as the impact of AI applications on the management of organizations and schools, in addition to instructional methods throughout several SA nations. They also explored the use of AI in these areas and the prospective trends in AI applications for the future.
Additionally, at the seminar, experts exchanged various models and AI learning tools, applications of AI in human development.
