On October 11, 2024, Mien Trung Trade and Industry College collaborated with the Trade Union of the Industry sector in Khanh Hoa Province to successfully organize a seminar themed “Trade Union Officials in the Digital Age.” This event aimed not only to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day (October 10, 2024) but also to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13, 2024) and the 46th anniversary of the establishment of Mien Trung Trade and Industry College (October 15, 1978 – October 15, 2024).

During the event, Dr. Tran Kim Quyen, a Design Thinking Advisor and Head of External Relations at the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Training and Consulting Club (TCC) – who is also the Principal of the College, presented on the topic “Trade Union Officials: Skills for Adapting to the Digital Age.” In hir speech, Dr. Tran Kim Quyen highlighted the importance of equipping necessary skills to respond quickly and flexibly to changes in the work environment, particularly in the digital era.

Alongside that, Dr. Nguyen Trung Hoa, a digital transformation and AI technology expert, presented on “Effectively Applying AI Technology in Trade Union Work.” His presentation provided practical information, helping trade union officials gain a better understanding of how to integrate new technologies into their daily activities. This support aims to improve work processes, thereby enhancing the effectiveness and quality of services that trade unions provide to workers.

Additionally, Mr. Tran Hong Minh delivered an engaging presentation on “Professional Skills for Trade Union Officials: Communication Culture and Corporate Culture in the Digital Age.” He emphasized that understanding and applying corporate culture not only improves internal relationships but also creates a harmonious work environment where every member feels valued and can thrive.

Through the seminar, trade union officials had the opportunity to learn about AI and enhance their skills in applying this technology in their daily work.
