On the morning of October 12, 2024, at Hall B2, Campus 2, Mien Trung Trade and Industry College (MITC) held a solemn seminar to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the school’s establishment. The event took place in a dignified and proud atmosphere, with the participation of all faculty and staff members. This occasion not only served as a moment to reflect on the proud journey of formation and development but also provided an opportunity for MITC to reaffirm its position, mission in training, and enhancement of human resource quality in the new era.
Overview of the Seminar “Keeping the Flame of Tradition – Stepping Firmly into the Future”
At the beginning of the program, Dr. Tran Kim Quyen – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, and Principal of MITC delivered a profound speech about the 46-year tradition of building and developing MITC. Dr. Quyen summarized the initial challenges and difficulties faced, as well as the relentless efforts of generations of leaders, staff, faculty, and students throughout various historical periods. He expressed deep gratitude to past faculty and staff who dedicated themselves to building and developing MITC while encouraging current faculty and staff to continue contributing creatively to advance MITC further.

Application of Design Thinking in work in the next part of the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Trung Hoa shared fascinating insights on applying Design Thinking in work. He emphasized that Design Thinking is not only a method for creative thinking but also an effective tool for solving practical problems. For MITC, applying Design Thinking enhances training quality and increases management efficiency. Dr. Hoa provided real-life examples of using Design Thinking in teaching, student management, and curriculum development at MITC, helping all faculty and staff gain a clearer understanding of this method.

Following this program, Dr. Tran Kim Quyen also shared insights on Systemic Thinking. He highlighted its significance in managing and developing the school. Dr. Quyen asserted that improving training quality requires not only focusing on enhancing curriculum but also considering other factors such as faculty quality, facilities, relationships with businesses, and student learning experiences. All these elements are interconnected and influence each other within a comprehensive system.
