On the afternoon of August 13, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College held an online civics course for freshmen at the beginning of the K44 course with the participation of Dr. Burkhard, a UN volunteers working with MITC; Dr. Tran Kim Quyen, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, the School’s Rector; lecturers and new students of course K44.

At the beginning of the course, Dr. Tran Kim Quyen shared with MITC freshmen about the School’s development strategy; Job opportunities in the 4.0 era. After that, Dr. Burkhard, had discussions with students about positive learning orientation and becoming a global citizen.
Next is the consulting content on startup activities, business incubation and innovation by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nhuan – Director of Incubation and Innovation Centre. At the end of the program were STEAM activities and entertainment activities at the school presented by representatives of the school’s Youth Union and SUNSHINE International Education Development Center.
The Civics course is an important milestone marking the beginning of a student period at MITC, officially become a genuine MITC-er. It can be said that while studying at MITC, students not only receive professional training, but also have the opportunity to experience and participate in many useful social and extracurricular activities, thereby bringing about the comprehensive development of both professional skills and soft skills.
This is the first civic course that Mien Trung Industry and Trade has organized online due to the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic. Mien Trung Industry and Trade College is also the first collge to implement the course in Phu Yen province in this new school year, this demonstrates the university’s vision, training strategy and adaptability in the era of the 4.0 era.
