To celebrate Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18), on May 16, 2025, the Mien Trung Industry and Trade College (MITC) organized a specialized training program aimed at improving the quality of scientific research activities among students. The event took place at the A1 auditorium – Campus 1, with the participation of representatives from various school departments, teachers, and students interested in science and innovation.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thoai – Party Committee Member, Head of the Electrical and Automation Department, representing the school leadership, emphasized the important role of scientific research in training high-quality human resources. Scientific research not only helps students approach academic thinking, develop analytical and problem-solving skills, but also creates a foundation for innovation and entrepreneurship in the future. This is a consistent direction in MITC’s education and training approach.

The program featured an engaging session on “Creative Thinking Skills” presented by Ms. Hoang Thi Cam Tu – Lecturer from the Business Administration – Tourism – Communication Department. This opening session focused on exploiting creative potential in each individual, especially in academic environments. Ms. Cam Tu shared methods to stimulate flexible thinking, techniques for developing new ideas, and ways to apply creative thinking to enhance learning effectiveness and scientific research.

With the topic “Scientific Research Report Writing Skills” by Mr. Vo Anh Khue – Deputy Head of the Quality Management & Scientific Research Department, students received detailed guidance on the steps to develop and present a standard scientific research report, from identifying topics, posing problems, and establishing research methods to collecting, processing, and presenting results. Mr. Khue also provided specific analysis on the importance of logic, rigor, and academic integrity in each section of the content.

The final topic, “Innovation Activities of the Youth Union,” emphasized the role of the Youth Union organization in promoting innovation among students. By introducing exemplary models and research-innovation movements among youth union members in recent times, this topic, shared by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hung – Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union and President of the Student Association, sparked interest and motivation for young people to participate in scientific research and entrepreneurship activities.

Many practical questions were raised during the training session, demonstrating the interest and learning spirit of MITC students in enhancing their academic capabilities and personal development through scientific research.
During the program, MITC students also participated in discussions and games about innovation
The training program was a meaningful and practical activity, contributing to spreading the spirit of academic pursuit and innovation throughout the school, while also providing motivation for MITC students to actively and confidently participate in intellectual activities and integrate with modern educational trends.
