On the morning of April 21, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College organized a symposium in observance of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 at the A2 auditorium, campus 1. The program was attended by the Board of Directors, staff, employees, and students at the school.

At the beginning of the program, Master Huynh Manh Nhan – Head of the Quality Management and Scientific Research Department, revisited the tradition of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. Choosing April 21 as Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day holds significant meaning. This date marks the debut of Vietnam’s first book, “Revolutionary Path” by President Ho Chi Minh – the first work in Vietnamese printed by Vietnamese printers.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc – Vice Principal of the school emphasized the importance of reading culture in modern life, especially for young generations in developing thinking, enhancing knowledge, and cultivating character. Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21 annually) is not only an occasion to honor the value of books but also to ignite the passion for reading in the community, aiming to build a learning society that is creative and develops sustainably.

During the program, staff, employees, and students listened to discussions about the role of books in the learning process, skills for accessing and selecting information in the digital age, as well as sharing effective methods to nurture reading habits.

One of the highlights of the Symposium was the awarding of the “MITC Reading Culture Ambassador 2025” – a meaningful platform to encourage staff, employees, and students to spread the love of books and creativity in promoting reading values to the community. The award winners are exemplary individuals who have made positive contributions to reading activities and building school libraries.
