To help 12th-grade students experience the actual learning environment and gain clear career direction, on March 8, 2024, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College (MITC) organized the program “Experience One Day as an MITC Student” for students from Tran Binh Trong High School. The program not only helped students better understand various professions but also created opportunities to develop skills, creative thinking, and adaptability to modern learning environments.

Practical Experience – Career Orientation

Early in the morning, Tran Binh Trong High School students arrived at MITC with excitement. After the opening ceremony, they toured the campus grounds, especially the modern practical training areas. These are creative spaces where MITC students research, practice, and apply knowledge to real-world situations.

Tran Binh Trong High School students were guided by instructors to assemble robots at the Sunshine Steam Center’s creative room.

At the Robocon exhibition area, students directly participated in programming and controlling robots. Nguyen Hoang Dang excitedly shared: “This is the first time I’ve personally assembled and controlled a robot. Previously, I only saw them online, but today’s hands-on experience was very enjoyable and gave me more confidence in my career direction.”

Career Experience – Opportunity to Discover Passion

Besides technology practice areas, MITC also organized experience activities for key training fields such as mechanics, electrical-electronics, food preparation, beauty care, and hotel-restaurant management. Here, students not only learned about the curriculum but also directly participated in practical activities under the guidance of MITC instructors and students.

The students experienced the art of napkin folding and standard table setting.

The hotel-restaurant section attracted many students with activities like beverage preparation instruction, napkin folding art, and standard table arrangement.

Le Thi Cam Huong expressed: “I was very impressed with MITC’s hotel-restaurant simulation area. Experiencing professional preparation, service, and communication helped me better understand the tourism industry that I’m interested in.”

The students gained experience at the automotive technology workshop.

Meanwhile, in the mechanics and electrical-electronics section, students were guided through simple circuit assembly, basic machine operation, and industrial production processes. Students interested in information technology also had opportunities to learn about basic programming, network security, and artificial intelligence applications in daily life.

The students were guided on how to carve vegetables into beautiful designs.

More than just a simple tour, through interactive games, student groups were assigned challenges related to different fields. The combination of learning and playing helped them develop creative thinking and boost confidence.

Ms. Vo Thi My Nga – Director of the Admissions and Business Relations Center speaking at the opening ceremony.

Ms. Vo Thi My Nga – Director of the Admissions and Business Relations Center shared: “We hope the experience day will help students gain a realistic view of professions, leading to choices that match their abilities and passions.
