On the afternoon of April 17, 2025, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College (MITC) organized a conference on “Breakthrough Development in Science and Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation” at the B1 meeting room, Campus 1.
Overview of the Conference on Breakthrough Development in Science and Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation
The conference was attended by MSc. Nguyen Van Duc – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Principal; Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc – Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Principal; Dr. Le Kim Anh – Party Committee Member, Vice Principal; heads and deputy heads of units, department heads, and members of the school’s applied research group. The conference aimed to assess the current situation and discuss breakthrough solutions to improve the quality of science and technology activities, innovation, and digital transformation at the school in the coming time.
In her opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc – Vice Principal of the school emphasized: “Development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation is not only a trend but also an essential requirement in MITC’s sustainable development strategy. This is a key factor in enhancing competitiveness, training quality, and meeting the requirements of the labor market in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution.”
At the conference, in-depth presentations were delivered, focusing on three strategic pillars: scientific research, innovation, and digital transformation.

Dr. Vo Anh Khue – Deputy Head of the Quality Management and Scientific Research Department opened with a comprehensive report on the current state of scientific research activities at MITC, while proposing solutions to improve quality such as developing strong research groups, promoting research cooperation with businesses, strengthening scientific research, and connecting research with practical needs.

Following the program, MSc. Vo Van Loi – Director of the Business Incubation and Innovation Center shared a presentation on the current situation and solutions to improve the quality of innovation activities. Also at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Trung Hoa – Director of the Training and International Cooperation Center presented on digital transformation, analyzing the current situation from technical infrastructure to the level of technology application in management, training, and student assessment. Dr. Nguyen Trung Hoa proposed a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap, from data digitization, implementation of electronic learning materials, to the development of modern interactive platforms to enhance the learning experience for students.

In addition to professional content, the conference also devoted time to discussing mechanisms and policies for training and developing staff and lecturers, especially in the context of digital integration and innovation in teaching and research methods.
The conference was a practical forum for staff and lecturers to review the implementation of science and technology activities, innovation, and digital transformation in recent times, while proposing strategic directions for MITC to continue strong development, effectively fulfilling its mission of practical training – creative capacity – comprehensive integration.
