On October 12th, Mientrung Industry and Trade College held the opening ceremony of the academic year 2019-2020. Mr. Phan Dinh Phung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Pham Van Y, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Tuy Hoa; Vu Thi Phuong Nga, Department of Finance and Business Innovation (Ministry of Industry and Trade), together with leaders of departments and agencies in the province attended.

Reported at the opening ceremony, Tran Kim Quyen PhD., Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the school said that in the last school year 2018-2019, the school continued to have stable development, improve teaching and learning quality, upgrade more and more modern facilities and develop friendly educational environment.
The school is selected as one of 88 high quality colleges which is being invested until 2025; one of 45 schools selected to pilot the international standard program of Metal Cutting – the program was transferred from the Federal Republic of Germany. Up to now, there have been 1,327 students enrolled in the school year 2019-2020.

With its tradition and strengths, in this new school year, the school strives to become a high-quality, prestigious college in the vocational education system, deploy training according to regional and international standards with key objectives, tasks and solutions, such as creating a friendly learning environment, creating the best conditions for learners to develop their own abilities; successfully training the transfer program from the Federal Republic of Germany; vigorously renovating teaching, learning and testing methods according to the competency approach (APC), which focuses on teaching critical thinking skills and developing good personality to students. The school focuses on investing in equipment for key industries, and continues to connect to businesses and international cooperation in training.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Phan Dinh Phung acknowledged and appreciated the achievements of Mientrung Industry and Trade College in the past time and hoped that the school would continue to innovate and synchronize solutions to promote communication, career counseling, vocational training; connecting the employment of businesses with students which helps students get jobs after graduation, thereby confirming the position of a technical school in the region.
