On October 19th, Mientrung Industry and Trade College held a ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the school’s founding day (1978-2018) and the opening school year of 2018-2019.

Mr. Cao Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Le Quan, Deputy Minister of MOLISA; Tran Huu The, Member of the Phu Yen Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Phu Yen People’s Committee; Dao Tan Loc, former Secretary of the Phu Yen Party Committee; together with leaders, former leaders of ministries, departments, institutes, departments, central and local organizations attended.
Reported at the celebration, Dr. Tran Kim Quyen, the Rector of the school said, with the motto of “Quality is the mission – Success is the destination”, for the past 40 years, Mientrung Industry and Trade College is the prestigious training school and is highly appreciated.
From the enrollment scale of only 200 students in the first course, currently the school’s training scale is nearly 4,000 students of the industries: Engineering, Biochemistry, Environmental Resources, Financial Accounting, and Tourist Services.
In the school year of 2018-2019, the school has recruited 1,145 students, achieving 85% of the enrollment quota. The school has been assessed by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to meet the criteria of high quality vocational schools in the period of 2016-2020; In the academic year of 2018-2019, the school is selected to conduct Pilot Training in Metal Cutting in 22 sets of programs for 22 key occupations of international level transferred by Germany.
These are the basis and motivation for the school to step by step invest in facilities and train human resources to meet the current development and integration requirements.
Addressing at the ceremony, the leaders of the ministry and the province highly appreciated the results achieved by the Mientrung Industry and Trade College in the past 40 years and expected the school to continue well teaching – well learning and strong innovation in the management and investment of facilities and to improve the effectiveness of international cooperation and scientific research … in order to build the school into a high quality vocational education institution, towards standardization and modernization and international integration.
Leaders of the ministry and the province believe that with the Party’s policy, the State’s policies and laws, the school will maximize human resources, facilities, attract social resources and expand many activities and other service activities to well implement measures to improve the quality of training.
