Determining to become a university in central Vietnam; affirming the leading position in the quality of education, training and scientific research; integrating with the tendency of higher education in ASEAN and the world; in recent years, Tuy Hoa Industrial College (TIC) has been continuously promoting cooperation with institutes and universities in the world to create opportunities for academic exchanges and experiences for the faculty and students of the school through the programs of cooperation training and cultural exchange with international students.

Since 2008, the school has been promoting a partnership program with the Australian Institute of Education (IOI Education Group) providing English courses for the school’s faculty. The school has also coordinated with IOI organizing an “Study in Australian” seminar, introducing joint-training programs to provide more learning opportunities and access to high quality international education programs.
The school has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of New South Wales, Australia for advanced vocational training at the school and promote exchanges with Griffith University, Australia.

Especially, the school has signed a contract with Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), China the “Teacher Training Programs” in Master’s and PhD Degree. Through this cooperation program, the school has been able to exploit scholarships offered by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). So far, the school has sent 14 lecturers achieved CSC doctoral programs at KUST, 07 lecturers for doctoral programs of Project 322 and Project 911, 01 lecturer for doctoral programs in Japan, 01 lecturer for Master program in UK and 01 lecturer for doctoral program in Germany.

In addition, the school regularly organizes cultural exchange programs of TIC – KUST students every summer to promote and strengthen the relationship between TIC – KUST.

Furthermore, the school has attracted a variety of volunteers from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand and Russia working at the school including teaching English for teachers and students, particularly the specialized English for students of Economics and Tourism; making English teaching aids for IT Department; building 5S model for Mechanical workshop; organizing seminars and propagating environmental protection to students.
In Asia, the school has also welcomed and discussed with JICA and KOICA organizations about some facilities funding projects.
Orientations to international cooperation in the coming time
With the current economic potentials and strengths, the school is seeking for cooperation with partners in the region such as Japan and Korea. The school leaders have also visited and set a goal to cooperate with the system of advanced Japanese vocational colleges KOSEN of Japan.

Continuing to send lecturers to countries with advanced education in the world or to invite foreign professors from educational development programs or prestigious universities to join in specialized activities.

Strengthening the international cooperation capacity for staff trained abroad as it is an important bridge to expand relations with other countries.
Promoting international seminars in order to meet the development demands of the school, focusing on academic exchanges, scientific research and English language teaching, gradually improving the organization for intensive seminars that build up the capacity, quality and prestige of the school.
