In the enthusiastic competitive atmosphere of the country celebrating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (05/19/1890 – 05/19/2025), Mien Trung Industry and Trade College (MITC) successfully organized the “Teachers’ Self-Made Training Equipment” Competition on May 19-20, 2025, with the meaningful theme: “Technological Innovation, Enhancing Teaching and Learning Quality.” After two days of exciting competition, on May 20, 2025, the closing ceremony and awards presentation took place in a solemn, warm, and emotional atmosphere.

Speaking at the Closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Duc – Vice Principal of the School, acknowledged and commended the creative labor spirit, responsibility, and enthusiasm of the faculty members participating in the competition. He emphasized: “The success of the competition does not stop at the awards but more importantly is the spread of innovation and creativity in teaching. The self-made equipment today will be an important premise for MITC to continue improving training quality, bringing more practical and effective learning experiences to learners.”

This morning, May 20, 2025, Mr. Vo Quoc Dung – Lecturer from the Department of Electricity and Automation presented the purpose and concept of the implemented model

This year’s competition attracted 18 self-made training devices from lecturers of the Mechanical Engineering Department and the Electricity and Automation Department. All participating products were highly evaluated for creativity, practical application ability, technology integration, and effective support in vocational teaching. After working impartially and seriously, the Jury selected and awarded prizes to the most outstanding equipment:

First Prize: Electrical Supply System Model – comprising 3 parts: • Main Switch Board (MSB) distribution cabinet model

• Electricity measurement and monitoring cabinet model for apartment buildings

• Power factor compensation cabinet model the product stands out with a combination of technical accuracy, high simulation capability, and aesthetic design.

Second Prize: Signal-Hazard System Model for Cars – vividly illustrating the operating principles of the vehicle’s signal light system, providing visual support for automotive vocational training.

Third Prize: Installation and Operation Model of Air Freezing Cabinet – meeting the practical training requirements for refrigeration industry, with high realistic simulation.

Encouragement Prizes: • Design and manufacture of sheet metal bending mechanism • Installation and programming control of small PLCs These products clearly demonstrate creativity in mechanics and automation, with potential for development, improvement, and application to teaching practice.

Besides the award-winning equipment, many other devices also received positive evaluations from the Professional Council for their high application potential. These devices are encouraged to be further refined for integration into the school’s official training programs and developed into initiatives with practical value.

The 2025 “Teachers’ Self-Made Training Equipment” Competition has successfully concluded. Beyond the awards, the event has awakened the spirit of innovation, creativity, and professional passion in each MITC teacher.

Through their own hands and intellect, the teachers have made practical contributions to improving training quality, inspiring learning and creativity for generations of students.
