The MienTrung Industry and Trade College (MITC) has partnered with the Australian Volunteer Office in Vietnam to hold a closing ceremony and evaluate the results of the training program. The program, which aimed to equip teachers with the skills to teach Industrial Electrical Engineering and Information Technology programs in English, involved 12 teachers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Automation and the Faculty of Informatics & Economics.

Overview of the English communication course conclusion program for 12 educators from the Department of Electrical and Automation and the Department of Computer Science and Economics

The program took place online via Zoom, supported by Dr. Veronica Lawson from the University of Queensland – International. Teachers had the opportunity to study and practice speaking directly with native English speakers. The course began in early July and officially concluded today, August 26, 2024.

At the closing ceremony, Dr. Veronica Lawson commended the teachers for their dedication and enthusiasm. She highlighted their commitment to learning despite busy schedules. In turn, the teachers expressed their deep gratitude to Dr. Veronica Lawson, acknowledging how the program had helped them revitalize their English speaking and communication skills. They emphasized that this was an invaluable opportunity to practice what they had learned, something they rarely had the chance to do in their daily lives.

MITC’s Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc, expressed her sincere gratitude to the Australian Volunteer, particularly to the Australian Volunteer Office in Vietnam, Dr. Veronica Lawson, and the teaching assistants for their support to 12 teachers over two months of learning. Dr. Kim Ngoc encouraged teachers to continue to apply their acquired knowledge and skills in their professional work. She also expressed her hope that MITC will continue to receive support from the Australian Volunteer Office in Vietnam in connecting with experts in various fields. This will create favorable conditions for teachers and students of MITC to update their knowledge, skills, and new expertise, thereby improving the quality of training at MITC.
