Amid all the complexities of the technical profession – where machinery, equipment, formulas, and electrical currents are always tied to the rhythm of life, there remains a teacher’s heart quietly persevering with a passion for education. That is Teacher Nguyen Thanh Van, lecturer in Automation at the Department of Electrical and Automation, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College, who has persistently illuminated each student’s dream through his dedication, silence, and passionate heart.

Teacher Van is not a loud person. In the classroom, he is simple, patient, but also very strict. The workshop practical sessions are where students most clearly see this teacher: sleeves rolled up, adjusting electrical circuits, checking each sensor. Some evenings, until nearly 10 PM, the lights in the Robocon workshop remain on, as the teacher works with the MITC Robocon team for “one final test.”

A Companion on the Creative Journey

Not only is he a teacher with excellent expertise, but Teacher Van is also a guide on the creative journey. For many years, he has been an advisor to teams participating in Robocon competitions, Skilled Labor Contests, and school and provincial-level Scientific Research projects. Under his dedicated guidance, many students have not only won awards but also discovered a true passion for their field of study.

Colleagues often call him the “silent flame bearer,” as he rarely talks about himself but always quietly supports each step his students take. When a team wins a prize, he steps back, his eyes only reflecting quiet joy. For him, the success of his students is the greatest reward.

In whatever role, whether as a teacher at the podium or a companion during competitions, Teacher Van maintains complete seriousness, responsibility, and a heart that loves his profession. That’s why many students still return to find him after graduation: some are engineers at large companies, some have become lecturers themselves, but when mentioning Teacher Van, everyone holds a special respect.

Amid all the changes in life, there are still teachers like Nguyen Thanh Van – quietly contributing, persevering like an electric current silently transmitting energy. He does not seek glory for himself, but his dedication has helped ignite the flame of passion for countless generations of Industrial Electrical Engineering students.
