Striving to Return to Learning
Teacher Nguyen Hoang Vien, currently working at the Sunshine International Education Development Center of MITC, was born in 1993. A distinguished former student of MITC, he pursued a master’s degree in electrical engineering and returned to contribute to the very institution that once nurtured him. Currently, he actively mentors’ students in scientific research activities, especially in robotics. Since his student days, Teacher Vien has been known for his creativity, diligence, and passion for scientific research. His student research projects have earned provincial awards, inspiring many current students.
Passion for the Robocon Movement

In the development of the Robocon movement at MITC, the role of Teacher Nguyen Hoang Vien cannot be overstated. Under his guidance, many school teams have made marks in provincial and national Robocon arenas. Research projects supervised by Teacher Vien, such as smart fire alarm devices or face-recognition robots reminding people to wear masks, have not only achieved high accolades but also garnered interest from businesses for investment.
Teacher Vien also directly organizes and advises the annual MITC Robocon innovation competition, a platform that allows students to engage with robot manufacturing technology and cultivate creative thinking. “We aim to build a community of technology-loving students where everyone can learn from each other and grow together. Robocon is not just a competition but a journey that equips students with technical thinking and teamwork skills,” Teacher Vien shared.

Nguyen Thanh Toi, a final-year student in the Department of Electrical and Automation, shared: “Teacher Vien not only teaches us knowledge but also guides us meticulously from creative thinking, idea realization, to experimentation and product refinement. During national Robocon competitions, he is always present, assisting us in every detail of robot repair and enhancement.”
