In the context of the world entering a powerful era of digitalization, digital transformation is no longer just a trend but has become an essential requirement for all fields, including vocational education. In Vietnam, the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 749/QD-TTg has clearly identified education as one of eight key areas prioritized for digital transformation during the 2021-2030 period.

In response to this policy, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College has been affirming its pioneering role in digital transformation, gradually realizing its vision of becoming a modern vocational school with international integration.

Digital Transformation – An Essential Driver in Vocational Education

In vocational education, digital transformation is not simply about introducing information technology to support teaching and management, but also a comprehensive restructuring process: from training models and management methods to learners’ learning experiences. The ultimate goal is to improve educational quality, optimize operations, personalize learning, and prepare a workforce with digital skills to meet market requirements.

Digital transformation in vocational education focuses on four main pillars:

  • Online training and digital learning materials
  • Digital transformation in teaching and training management
  • Application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology
  • Comprehensive, synchronized, and effective digital management

With strategic vision and strong determination for innovation, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College has identified digital transformation as a key task throughout its management and training operations.

Recently, the College has implemented a synchronized digital management system on advanced platforms. The Bitrix24 platform is used to manage work, internal documents, teaching plans, and progress assessment. The Learning Management System (LMS) supports course registration, digital learning material distribution, assignment management, grading, and quick feedback. The College has also digitized administrative processes: From admission, graduation evaluation, and course registration to administrative procedures, all are conducted in a digital environment, minimizing paperwork, increasing processing speed and transparency. As a result, administrative and training processing time has been reduced by an average of 30-50% compared to traditional methods, while enhancing the educational service experience for students and parents.

Digital transformation in teaching has been promoted through the development of digitized lectures. Currently, the College has digitized more than 500 electronic lectures in various fields: engineering technology, tourism, economics, and foreign languages. AI technology supports teaching through virtual teaching assistants, automated assessment systems, and chatbots answering learning questions 24/7.

The College places special emphasis on developing digital capabilities for its staff and employees. The growth in digital capabilities of the workforce is a solid foundation helping the College promote technology application in all aspects of operations.
