Referring to the name Thai My Vang, who has contributed to the functional formula of Phu Yen tourism, people immediately think of to the Phu Yen tourist picture and vice versa.

This 9X guy, a former student of Mien Trung Industry and Trade College, is known as a man with tiredless legs and restless hands. From 2011 until now, Thai My Vang has traveled to many places, experiencing many different positions, from selling second-hand clothes on the street to Internet shop owner, event company leader, ginseng company director, and the director of Hoa Yen specialty souvernir Shops, the most famous specialty company in Phu Yen. Regardless of any position, there are special features in Vang that we can easily see: aspiration and passion.
Graduated from Mien Trung Industry and Trade College, year 2012-2014, major in Tour Guide, Vang worked for a travel agency as his major. But with the bravery and aspiration to get rich and start a business, in 2015, Thai My Vang and some best friends decided to establish a media and event company in Tuy Hoa.
In 2016, with the effect of the movie “I see yellow flowers on green grass”, Phu Yen tourism had gradually been noticed, the number of tourists coming to the land of Yellow Flowers on Green Grass was soaring fast. Realizing that tourists were having a very high demand for regional specialties after each long trip, together with his friend, Vang established Hoa Yen Trading and Service Co., Ltd specializing in processing and supplying specialties, in which he is the Director. Currently, Hoa Yen Trading and Service Co., Ltd. has 3 branches in Tuy Hoa city.
Unlike other Phu Yen specialty stores in the province, Hoa Yen not only sells products for profit but also aims to develop and preserve the local cultural identity, Phu Yen Ginseng product is an example. From the fact that this precious ginseng is in danger of disappearing, Vang and his friend Thoan spent all their efforts in researching, searching, propagating, processing and developing this medicinal variety. In early 2017, Vang and Thoan continued to invest in production and established Phu Yen Ginseng Co., Ltd, headquartered in An Phu commune.
Coming to Hoa Yen specialties, tourists will not be bored with packaged products but also learn more about the tradition of Nau Land (a nother name of Phu Yen), about environmental protection through fishing-village-net Bags, or other the experience session to visit the village of banh trang (rice paper), the traditional anchovy sauce-making village. In 2020, Vang launched a product of Mr. Vang brand-name fish sauce, a product of traditional craft villages in his hometown, certified by the Department of Intellectual Property. Through this, we can see that Vang does not simply runs his business for profit, but also contributes to promoting and enhancing the brand value of Phu Yen tourism products.
Sharing with MITC Media reporter, Thai My Vang said that Phu Yen tourism is still developing, the need to recruit tourism-related industries such as tour guides, restaurant, hotels administrators, food processing,… is great. However, it is a pity that Phu Yen students seldom choose this major, or do not know that at Mien Trung Industry and Trade College, these majors have been enlisted in the training program for a long time. Especially, in the time of prolonged epidemics, students should consider studying in Phu Yen for both safe and cost-effective.
