When it comes to pioneers in the field of water treatment and environmental technology in Phu Yen, Tran Nhat Nam cannot be overlooked. While still a student in Environmental Engineering Technology at Tuy Hoa Industrial College, now known as Mien Trung Industry and Trade College, he early on revealed his passion for technology, research, and innovation in the field of science, especially water environmental technology. On his journey of both studying and pursuing his passion for research, he was determined to start a business after graduation.

Entrepreneurial Journey: From 2 Failures to Mastering 4 Water Technologies

After graduating from MITC, Tran Nhat Nam and his friends started a business in the field of water treatment services. However, due to limitations in market, technology, and equipment, the project did not achieve the desired results. Undiscouraged, he continued to learn, accumulate experience, and nurture the spirit of technological mastery. With a solid knowledge foundation, he decided to start a second business, establishing C.M.PY Science Technology and Environment Co., Ltd., specializing in environmental consulting, installation – transfer of water treatment technologies for domestic water supply, pure water, wastewater, and especially technology for filtering seawater into freshwater.

Nam shares his entrepreneurial journey through memorable numbers: 2 startup attempts, 3 million VND as the initial capital for his second attempt, and 4 years to master 4 important water technologies – wastewater treatment, pure water, medical distilled water, and seawater to freshwater conversion.

Speaking about his entrepreneurial journey, Nam said: “Even when I was studying at MITC, I realized that clean water was an urgent need that had not been thoroughly addressed. I wanted to contribute to changing this situation by applying the most advanced technologies to water treatment. Not just applying original technology, but also improving, changing some characteristic details, simplifying the process of use and service care. Creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese people to use according to each region, each type, and at optimal cost.”

To realize this goal, he has continuously updated the most advanced and modern water treatment technologies: Such as RO (Reverse Osmosis) technology, Nano, microbial technology, high-pressure filtration technology…. These solutions help improve water quality, meeting the needs of regions, businesses, and households. In addition, C.M.PY is also pioneering in the design, research, and assembly of reusable wastewater treatment systems that meet standards and regulations.

The seminars and forums featuring him not only bring practical knowledge but also awaken the spirit of creativity, attracting many MITC students and young engineers.

He advises: “You should boldly participate in extracurricular activities, explore yourself, set clear goals, and continuously update technology. Dare to dream big, set high challenges, and start a business with passion and determination – that is the path to success.”
