Over the past 1 year, since the Covid-19 epidemic broke out in Vietnam, online teaching and learning has become no stranger to lecturers and students of Mien Trung Industry and Trade College, especially in English communication classes with foreign experts of the United Nations who are cooperating with the College. However, online teaching is much more difficult than traditional face-to-face teaching because lecturers cannot directly feel the concentration of students, and the interaction between teachers and students is also worse.

To overcome those limitations, all lectures at MITC must be changed in the direction of simplification, focusing on key knowledge and directing learners to more self-study skills. Moreover, the College also prepares virtual reality devices, vivid visualization simulation software and video recording of lectures, practical parts to serve online lessons, especially for subjects that require lots of practice.
On the other hand, online learning is not only difficult in online textbooks and practical instructions but also in the absorbing psychology of students. Therefore, in addition to investing in textbooks and supporting software, MITC also aims to open psychological counseling sessions for students, guide how to learn, and prepare them to get used to the new learning model. .
During the enrollment process and guiding students to enroll, MITC also had frank discussions with new students that the College will organize online learning, focusing more on teaching theory. Outside of classes, students can text or email about the content of the lecture and the teachers must fully explain those questions.
On August 13, Mien Trung Industry and Trade College organized the first activity civics program of the K44 course in an online form for new students with the participation of Dr. Burkhard- UN volunteer working with MITC; Dr. Tran Kim Quyen, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, School Principal; and some of the school’s teachers. At the end of the lesson, there was a question and answer session, exchanging specific information between new students and teachers at K44. Students asked a lot of questions related to the scholarship regime, policies for learners as well as basic information about courses and were consulted and answered clearly by MITC teachers.
It can be said that Mien Trung Industry and Trade College has been making the best preparations to adapt to online teaching and learning and the phrase “Adapting for success” is the slogan of all MITC lecturers and students in this new school year 2021-2022.
