In the face of climate change, renewable energy is considered a primary alternative to fossil fuels to reduce carbon emissions. Therefore, the demand for renewable energy engineers is expected to grow as more governments and private companies invest in this potential sector.

There has been an increase in large-scale wind and solar projects in central and highlands provinces such as Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Phu Yen, and Gia Lai. A 5000 billion VND win power plant of HBRE company is expected to generate 200MWh per year. In Phu Yen alone, three solar plants in Tay Hoa and Phu Hoa districts are completed and started to generate electricity for the province and neighboring regions. It’s a time of great opportunity for young people to pursue this potential sector to get a high-earning job.

Renewable Energy Systems Installation and Maintenance Engineering has become a key sector as demands for clean energy have significantly grown.

What is Renewable Energy Systems Installation and Maintenance Engineering?

The major includes the design and construction of non –hydrocarbon-based power projects; or the maintenance of solar and wind energy systems. Solar power systems require engineers work on the design and installation of rooftop photovoltaic (PV) panels and heating systems in private homes and factories. They also coordinate the layout of panels, inverters, and electrical components to optimize the amount of electricity generated and test the output from system inverters. Wind-turbine systems demand similar testing and inspection of electrical connections and inverters. Engineers also should inspect turbine blades and bearings.

Where should to study?

Known as one of the most prestigious vocational colleges in central Vietnam, Mien Trung Industry and Trade college prides itself as a leading training institution in Renewable Energy Systems Installation and Maintenance Engineering. The aim of the program is to provide learners with a detailed knowledge of major renewable energy sources such as solar, biomass, and wind. In addition, it emphasizes hands-on and practical training, ensuring that you can adapt to the latest developments and future needs of the renewable energy industry.
